Hurricane Ike hit in the wee hours of the morning on Saturday, September 13. The storm was very intense. We lost power at exactly 1:13 am. I know this to be exact because I was constantly pacing the floor. Unfortunately, we did not get our power back for 16 days. The winds reached at their peak around 95 mph. Noah slept in the coat closet that night, and thank goodness he slept through the most intense parts of the storm. Unfortunately, he wants to move his bedroom downstairs in the coat closet!! We were very blessed because we all remained safe, and the house did not get any major damage. Noah enjoyed the whole camping experience a lot; his parents, however, got real tired of not having electricity. Those 16 days were full of adventure for Noah. We discovered that Noah can play Candy land and that he loves the game. As a matter of fact, he likes playing lots of other board games as well, including Bingo. Noah's allergies held up well during and after the storm. We were a little worried because the neighbors behind us kept building a camp fire every night, and the smoke would come into our windows. Fortunately, Noah's breathing did not act up. Praise God!! We got very creative with our breathing treatments. We would drive around for 20 minutes a day while Noah received his breathing treatment and watched a little TV. The inverter was a life saver! Noah was a good samaritan and took an extra bag of ice in his car to the neighbor. One day, we did visit the zoo since we had nothing else to do. I included some pictures of not only our house but also a few other houses on our street. Thank you all for the prayers that were sent up for us. We appreciate all of the prayers and support that we received during this time

Destin, Florida Trip

After our NC trip, we reunited with Daddy in Destin, Florida. Noah had a blast playing on the beach. He was so much more into playing on the beach this year than last year. A year really makes a big difference!!

Noah's Summer NC Trip

This summer Noah went to NC to visit family and friends. He went to the beach, the planetarium in Kinston, the park and even got kissed by a girl He even visited Greenville Pediatrics, and Ms. Erin irrigated his ear. Overall, it was a great trip
